Ropes Course Monitor

Pay Rate: Varies – based on certification level
Job Summary:
Monitors are the primary employees responsible for greeting, supervising and assisting guests during their climbing session. Monitors also aide and ensure the safety of guests.
Essential Functions:
- Complete opening/closing procedures
- Greet and interact with guests
- Respond to guest inquiries
- May be required to perform first aid at a level of documented training and respond appropriately in situations such as weather-related events, mechanical failures, or injury to staff/guests
- Assist the Supervisor with maintenance and SOP’s of ropes course equipment
- Assist and/or accompany guests on the ropes course as necessary and as permitted based on their certification level
- Instruct guests on proper use of ropes course equipment and safe ropes course practices/techniques
Job Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to perform work at varying heights
- Must have full range of overhead arm motions
- Must be able to perform all technical rescues as appropriate to their level of certification
- Professional demeanor
- Proven ability to deal effectively with guests
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be willing to speak in front of large groups of people
- Will require walking/standing for long periods of time
- Must speak fluent English (bilingual abilities encouraged)
- Must hold or obtain CPR/First Aid certification
- Successful completion of on the job training including but not limited to monitor.
